At the end of the course the trainee will be able to:
Carry out the duties of an Individual Working Alone (IWA) in a safe and effective manner as set out in the Rulebook GE/RT 8000 Module T7
Sentinel Track Safety Card Holders who are required to carry out the duties of an Individual Working Alone (IWA) on the Railway Infrastructure.
Classroom based theoretical instruction including scenarios.
Delegates must meet the required current medical and Drug & Alcohol standards. Continued sponsorship from a Network Rail Authorised and RISQS approved supplier is also a requirement.
Delegates must meet the requirements of the current Railway Business Process NR/SP/CTM/021.
Current Sentinel Track Safety card endorsed with PTS.
All delegates should be in possession of current relevant Rule Book Handbooks GE/RT 8000.
On sucessful completion of the course the candidates competency will be updated via the Sentinel system.
Sentinel track safety card will be endorsed with the IWA Competency and valid for 2 years.
Following initial training, each delegate must be complete entries in a logbook and be assessed by a licensed track safety assessor within 4 months of the initial course.
Failure to complete the required assessment within 4 months will render the competence invalid.
